Swedish Language Program ages 5-7 Tuesdays 2023-2024 (SF)

Day/time: Tuesdays 4:00 pm - 5:45 pm

Location: 511 Laguna Honda Blvd, San Francisco, CA. 94127

Dates: August 22, 2023- June 4, 2024  

Fall semester 8/22/23-12/12/23. Spring semester 1/9/24-6/4/24.

Lucia celebration Sunday December 10.

Diploma ceremony and graduation party Sunday June 9.

No class on 9/5/23, 2/20/24, 3/26/24.

Cost: 

- $610 for the school year 2023-2024. This is the fee for children who turn 6 years old on or before 12/31/2023 and who have at least one parent with Swedish citizenship. We receive a stipend from the Swedish government agency Skolverket and these are their requirements for awarding the stipend.

- $995 for the school year 2023-2024. This is the fee for children 5 years of age who do not turn 6 until after 12/31/2023 and for any children 6-7 years old who do not have at least one parent with Swedish citizenship.

Class description: The main goal is for students to advance their Swedish language skills, and to gain a better understanding of Swedish geography, history and culture. In this age group, we focus on play based language learning, and follow the plan of Skolverket. We observe Swedish cultural themes and traditions such as Lucia, Easter, Midsummer, and Fettisdagen. It is necessary that students understand and speak Swedish upon enrollment. Students should bring a snack to class.

Students cannot attend classes before the form is completed and signed. If your child is a current returning student there is no need to fill out the form, unless there has been a change of address or other important changes.

If a parent is late to pick up a child, a late fee will be applied, starting on the first late minute.

No refunds, all sales are final.
